ArT-TeK Records is proud to release the first ever full-length release of one of the most interesting electronic artists of Moscow - the lazyfish.

His name originates from a small pirate company he ran with his friends to produce skateboards. No wonder he used to listen to a lot of industrial music and played on a bass guitar. Among his influences at that time he names Psychic TV, Current-93, Coil, Scorn.

He started composing music with his guitar sometime in 1997 and soon he bought a drum machine Yamaha RY-20, of which he still is a great fan. Soon after purchasing a computer, he recorded his first tracks on tapes to give out to his mates. These tapes quickly spread around Moscow and the buzz about Lazyfish began to grow.

His talent to dig and explore the possibilities of the software quickly brought him to the forefront of electronic music technology. Most of the music he makes now is produced with his own virtual equipment. He works as a sound designer and engineer for Native Instruments. A lot of people around the world know not only his music but also amazing ensembles, instruments, applications like TRK-O1, which Sasha created for NI Reaktor user library.

The album consists of 3 parts. A short intro will test the resilience of your Hi-Fi and introduce you to the album which has 12 tracks, mixed together to lead you through magical mathematical mazes of sonic pulsations of industrial landscapes and nightclubs of Moscow. Slowly but surely you will find "Vortex" developing and changing, getting more complicated and colorful so that you will admire its diversity.

The "Please-126" single will remind you of some kind of dance music. Three mixed tracks will certainly give you an idea about different shapes and kinds music could have, especially in the way Lazyfish performs it for you and us. We hope you’ll enjoy it.
